Rev Theophilus Rolle

Rev. Theophilus Nathan Rolle is a Bahamian native, from the community of James Cistern, Eleuthera.  He is the third of six (6) children born to Mr. and Mrs. Lionel and Bernice Rolle.  His formative development was immensely influenced by the godly example demonstrated by his mother and grandmother.  He was taught that ‘noble character was first embedded in the foundation of humility and integrity, and built upon with the virtues of faith, hope and love.’

He was educated at the James Cistern All Age School and the Governor’s Harbour High School.  Rev. Rolle felt the call of God on his life from his childhood, and finally surrendered all in 1982.  He became quite focused and intentional in his pursuit to “understand God’s will for his life.”

He began his preaching career in 1986, as a local preacher in Wesley Methodist Church in James Cistern.  In 1988, he was selected to participate in a three month expedition to Kenya, Africa with “Operation Raleigh.”  It was this experience in Kenya that served as a defining moment in his life.  He felt that this period enabled him to move from expediency to radical obedience in God.

After completing all the requirements in the process of his candidature for full-time ministry, Rev. Rolle was accepted in 1991 as a candidate of the Bahamas//Turks and Caicos Island District of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas.  He completed his ministerial training and formation at the United Theological College of the West Indies, Jamaica, and graduated in 1995 with the Diploma in Ministerial Studies.  During this time he represented the college as an exchange student at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.

Rev. Rolle has since served in the Kingdom of God in the Leeward Islands District of the Methodist Church in Anguilla (1995-2000), and Aruba and Curacao (Netherlands Antilles) 2000-2006.

He is presently serving as Superintendent Minister of the Grand Bahama Circuit where he has pastoral care of St. Paul’s Methodist Church (Freeport), and overall administrative responsibilities for the Circuit.  In this capacity, he also serves as Chaplain and Acting Chairman of the St. Paul’s Methodist College School Board.

Rev. Rolle is celebrating his 12th year of marriage with his wife Evona.   They have been blessed with two children, Ebony and Theus.

This anointed servant of God enjoys preaching, faith sharing and equipping believers to walk in their area of gifting.  He has a strong passion for evangelism, and church growth.  He firmly believes that he has been called by God in the true Wesleyan spirit to be a prophetic voice in this era.  By this, he feels constrained to empower people with the Word of God, as well as, to equip them with the knowledge and courage to transform their existing social circumstances, thus enabling them to walk in victory.
